Yesterday. Harry Marks was summoned to-day for §>uuday trading under the well-known act of' 1 Charles the 3nd, The defence was
that the Act did not apply to modern times, and especially to the colonies, any more than the equally old and unrepcaled one by which scoldiug wives were to be publicly ducked. The lI.M. took time to consider the case.
