Academy of Music.
A very interesting lecture on " Heads and Faces" was given by Professor Fraser at the Academy of Music last evening. The lecturer has a good pleasing manner in imparting his information, an 4 adopts quite a different style from that followed by other phrenologists who have visited the Thames. There is little done for display, the lecturer bsing earnest in his desire to impart useful information of great importance to his hearers in this every day world. He explained some of the important laws laid down by phrenologists, and exemplified his remarks by reference to the likeness of well-known men. At the close of the lecture gentlemen from the audience -were invited upon the stage, and 'by mjuest Messrs A. Price G. Tidal, and W. Wood submitted to be examined by the professor. It is needless to say with such subjects, the task of pointing out t 1 eir principal characteristics was a very easy one for the lecturer, who iv each case was most successful. By advertisment Professor Fraser announces that he will give another lecture on Saturday night, and we have little doubt but it will be well attended. The subject is well worthy the attention of ihe intelligent aud thinking classes of the country. ■
