Wellington, Yesterday.
Lovely weather again favored the meet* ing, the only drawback being the dust, which perfectly blinded passengers on traps between the railway station and the course. His Excellency and Lady Robinson and suite arrived before the starting of the first race. The totalizator was again freely patronised. Hill's put through seven hundred and fifty pounds. The bookmakers were perfectly taken aback at its success, and some were to be seen—their own occupation abandoned— taking chances on their own account. No list men appeared on the ground. The meeting generally was most satisfactory— not a single protest was entered, and no serious accident occurred. The time for the Handicap was the fastest ever made in New Zealand,
