Visit of Sir George Grey and the Hon. F. Whitaker.
By the Eotornahana this afternoon, Sir George Grey and the Hon. F. Whitaker arrived.
The members of the Thames Liberal Association assembled in numbers, and provided a brass band to ■ accord a welcome to Sir George Grey. The Mayor, County Chairman, and a number of well known citizens met the distinguished visitors. The ships lying at the wharf, aud the signal mast were dressed with bunting, and long before the hour large numbers of persons congreguted. Mr Whitaker with Mr Brodie and Mr Small occupied the first carriage, and His Worship the Mayor, Mr Speight and Mr Carpenter were seated with Sir G. Grey in the following carriage. The band preceded the procession to the Pacific -Hotel.
Sir George Gr<*y will address the electors at the Iheatre lioyal to morrow evening, and Mr Whitaker is to be waited upon by several deputations.
