ALBURNIA.
We make the following extract from the mine manager's report;—"l6o feet level, west: We have continued driving on this level; the reef increasing in size as we go. It is heavily charged with minerals, but wo do not see any gold. A rise has been started.toj'couuect with the winze being sunk from 70ft level, which is now up about 10ft. In the last break*
ing down we saw several nice colors of gold. Tbe reef is about 2-J-ft wide, and the stone similar to that in the winze above. 70ft lesel, east: This drive is being carried on by two men. Duiiug the last fortnight the reef has been broken up, but it is now much more compact, showing good minerals. The winze in this level, east, is now nearly complete, being 86ifc deep, and leaving 4ffc more to complete the required depth."
