About 3000 persons are on the course, and an exceedingly large number of vehicles and horsemen. The road from the railway station is lined with conveyances of all descriptions, carryiug passengers to the races. Clouds of dust are passing over the course. His Excellency, Lady Bobinson, and suite arrived on the course at twenty minutes past twelve, when cheers were given as they stepped from the carriage. AH games of chance, comprising wheel, of fortune, etc., have been stopped by the police. The saddling bell for the first raco is now ringing. Harkaway is scratched for the Maiden Eace. The totalisator is but poorly patronised. Maids-? Plate, Talent... ... 1 Kore .. ... . ... 2 Pourere ... ... ... 3 Four started. The betting was five to two on liore. Hubble Back.
