Charles Sibree alias Yankee Charlie, well known in connection with the Costello murder case, died in the hospital last night after a long illness.

A man named Neil McLran was brought down from Inangahua Junction with a serious wound on the head inflicted by on 6 Stewart. Jealousy in connection with McLean's wife is supposed to be the cause of the assault. The woman was living with Stewart for 20 years before she was married to McLean some years ago.. . -
