OUR MINES
ALBUBNIA. The gold discovered in the reef in the winze has been sunk into two feet and good specimens continue to be broken out. The winze is now down about 17 feet. A shot was to be fired to-day, which probably produce a considerable portion of good stone. NEW NORTH DEVON. The paragraph in yesterday's Advertiser copied from the Herald re tbis mine, is apt to be misleading, and may hare a damaging effect on the mine. , The negotiations referred to in the paragraph hare not been abandoned, but on the contrary it is rery probable an understanding will be come to between the company and the tributers in a few days. Again the paragraph, erroneously states that it is intended to wait till the term of the tribute expires, but this, as far as we can learn, is rery fur from being in accordance with, fact. We hare good authority for stating that a few days more will disclose the nature of the offer now made by the tributers, and the decision of the directors thereon.
