Arrived: The Midge from Samoa, with dates to December fifteen.-
A treaty of peace was signed on that day by the Representatives of each of the districts. The substance of the treaty was that there should be no more fighting, and the treaties with the United States, Germany and Great Britain were to be recognised ; a convention establishing the district of Apia and the neutral territory to be recognised.
A grand ovatioa was io be given to Captain Deinhard, of H.I.M. Bismarck, for his efforts in quelling the disturbance.
Sixteen representatives of districts met on board the Bismarck and proclaimed Mulietoa King of all Samoa.
Mulietoa Taupepe, King in Steinberge's time, was made Heir Apparent. All foreigners we excluded from th©
government, but a new Municipal Council has been elected, consisting of- representatives of Germany, America, and England.
