Yesterday. TJie Canterbury Riots. On the opening of the Supreme Court this morning, Mr Joynt, solicitor for the rioters, said that on account of the inconvenience, public and private, he would nofe challenge the jurors separately. After four oballeßges for the. Crown aud three
by Mr Joynt, the jury was empannelle and the rioters were ordered to be tried together. The case is now going on. The evidence is similar to that given in the magistrates' court. It is said that a large number of witnesses will be called to prove alibi.
