Mr Webb, iate of the Poverty Bay Standard, has compromised the action for alleged libel against Mr Edgcumbe of the Waikato Times, which was set down at the present civil sittings of the Supreme Court. The Attorney-General was for the defence, and Mr Hesketh for the prosecution.
