As soen as the block is decided upon, and the preliminaries arranged, it will be surveyed into sections of limited area and apportioned, by lot or otherwise, according to rule* to be agreed upon at a general meeting of the sub* scribisg members of the proposed Association in selections of a minimum value of One Hundred Poutads (£100) starling, and • maximum value of (£400) sterling. The Pro/isional Directors will endeavor to > induce the Government to grant to members , of the issociation such, modifications of the s land on deferred-payment clauses' of the .' Land Act, 1877, as may facilitate occupation by bona fide settlers and subscribers without necessitating strict, compliance with the ore- , sent provisions of those clauses. The.Pro* visional Directors will also endeavor to make provision for ample reserves for religious, educational, recreation, and public health purposes, as suggested by the Minister of Lands to the deputation which lately waited upon the Government with the view of bringing this (scheme under their notke and favorable consideration. The payments are to be computed on some well-defined, liberal, and easily-understood system of deferred payments, to bs> made by instalments extending over a period of, say not less than ten (10) years.
