Audience Startled "by Explo-

sions.

At the Catholic Church last night, there was a large attendance to hear the Rev Father O'Malley's lecture on the Catacombs. Just before the commencement of the lecture, two loud reports in quick succession as of explosives caused considerable consternation among the audience, in view of the recent erents. It was found however, to be boys playing fireworks, and the audience soon forgot the circumstance in the interest excited by the admirable lecture.
