At a farewell meeting of the friends of Pastor Chiniquy he stated he had netted in Australia for his proposed mission mission through America £4790. He thanked the Orange body and the Protestant ministers for assistance rendered.
Lewis Simpson, for assaulting SheppaTd, a member of the Legislature Assembly in .George street was fined five pounds. Two men charged with personation at an election in Sydney were committed for trial. Allen, the Sunday School teacher charged with violent assault on a pupil was acquitted by the jury. The Judge expressed surprise that he was ever committed.
