The Piwiional Directors will endeavor to induce the Government to grant to members of the Association such modifications of the land on deferred-payment clauses of the Land Act, 1877, as way facilitate occupation by bona fide settlers and subscribers without necessitating strict compliance with tht present proTisions of those clauses. The Provisional Directors will also endeavor to make provision for ample reserves for religions, educational, recreation, and public health purposes, as suggested by the Minister of Lands to the deputation which lately waited upon the Government with the view of bringing this scheme under their notice and. favorable consideration. The payments an to be computed on some ■well-defined, liberal, and easily-understood system of deferred payments, to be made by instalments extending over a period of, say not less than ten (10) years.
