London, December 29. ' Daring a heavy gale, a portion of the Tfcy bridge was destroyed, and the train proceeding*from Edinburgh to Dundee while crossing shortly afterwards fell through the casing of the bridge into the river.
An enormous loss of life ensued, although the exact particulars are not yet received. • It is feared two hundred persons are drowned. The Empress Engene visits Zululand in February.
