f LISDLOIDS AND TSVAJfTS. ; , A great meeting was convened at Ball* ' for the 22nd, to protest Miiut the threatened eviction of farmer*. Troope were tent there, bat everything patted off quietly. The evictions were not enforced, - rent beings paid. At • great meeting in the Rotunda, Dublin, ou the 21st November,.oooo were present, and the streets were packed. Several members of Parliament spoke iai .. bitter terms of the Government whisk attempted to suppress constitutional agitation with eoereion and oppression., - XIUTABT OCCUPATIdir. Three additional regiments an reported under orders to proceed to Ireland. A London telegram of November 18nd states that the Government, acting oa the advice of the Lord Lieutenant* have takes, steps which may result in serious consequences to Ireland as well as Xngland. The Government has been urged to abstain from the enforcement by military force of the demands of landlords, and appealed to by the clergy and gentry of Ireland to bring about some peaceable settlement of difficulties. Lord Beaconsfield was for a time inclined to this oeurse,. but has been overruled by the military authorities.
