After disposing of the Properly Tax Bill last night, the House went on with the estimates and sat til! half past three.

The item, £809 for Thames Orphnage Building Fund was struck out. The supplementary estimates are yet to pass. The Howe meets again today at 2.30. It is not expected that all the business jet to be transacted will be finished to-day. The Council met at 11, but immediately adjourned till 4 this afternoon. 3.30 p.m.

The third reading of the Property Tax Bill passed after a division, ayes 32, noes 23.

It is uncertain whether the Hinemoa leares with the Auckland members to-night. .
