LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL.

The Council met to-day for business at 11 a.m. BILLS PASSED OB OTHERWISE. The Property Assessment Bill, Customs Bill, Tobacco Bill, Public Revenues Bill, and the Treasury Bill were passed through all their stages. Te Aro Reclamation Bill was read a second time, and the Sites for Working Men's Club also. The Wanganui Endowed School Bill, and Otago Harbor Board Empowering Bill were shelved. The Council adjourned from 5 till 7.30.
