Wellington, Saturday. After the formal business the AttornejrGeneral said the Council could hare the whole day for local bills, and get as many as possible through, as on agreement the Government had all Monday. There was then a discussion on points of order, lasting an hour, and another discussion of the same length in committee on the Slaui»htcrhouse Amendment Bill. Several Bills from the Lower House were read a first time, and the Resident Magistrate's Act Amendment Bill and the Forest Trees Planting Act Amendment Bill a third time. The Council adjourned from 5.30 till 9.
