There was a good deal of opposition in the House last nijjht in order to prevent any new business being taken after 12.30, but eventually the House, went into Committee on the Immigration Estimates which had been left orer. All the item* were passed as brought down, except in case of salary to the Under-Secretary on 'which £100 increase was struck out. The House sat till 2.30.
