They saw no hope for proceeding with the Hospital and Charitable Aid Bill. The other Bills on the Order Paper would be dropped, including the Representation Bill, .Electoral Petitions Bill, Gaming and Lotteries Bill; and Alienation of Maori Lands Bill. The Government hoped to be in a position to have the House prorogued not later than .Tuesday. Several Bills were then read a third time and passed.
