I bnve bren investigating Messrs Sander and Sons' Eucalypti Extract since its diecoTory, and I I>hto to admit that there is besides it no medicament I know of, of such uniTersal effect on the human system. I obaei-Ted in tho first instance that it checkß completely all inflammations of whateTer kind—inflammation of the chest, lungs, all throat affections, such as bronchitis, and diptheria. It alienates and cures all paina of rheumatic nature, neuralgia, &c, I ha*a used ifc with unparalleled sucrosa i:. swellings, bruises, sprains, wo nds of all kinds, and .of most fertons nature, as well as in all disorders of the bowels, diarrhoea, &c. lam fully conTinced that the inTenlion of that medicament will meet with tho greatest estimation, nnd I gladly acknowledge its merits for the benefit of the public,—John Cbtjicksjiawk, M.D., L.K.C.9.E., Health Officer. 2nd March, 1878. I certify to the seal of the Council of the City of fcamihurst being affixed to this document, D. Macdongall, Town Clerk. Statutory Declaration. I, Frnnz Ranbe, of Iroubarb, Sandhurst, in the Colony of Victoria, Australia, do solemnly and sincerely declare, that guided by the desire that all who may becorr c nfllicted as I was may ba enabled to take advantage of my publication, I make the following declaration : On the 25ih June, 1877, my son Alfred, six years of age, was accidentally hurt with an axe on tho knee. lat once took all pains to procuro medical assistance, by calling at first on Dr Austin,' who was subsequently assisted by Drs Penfold and MocgilliTrsy. However, in spito of all the combined efforts of the said gentlemen, the malady took such a bad turn that the patient was lying in uninterrupted wound-feTer, and on the 17th August, 1877, the opinion was given by Dr MacgilliTray, that an amputation of the injured limb had become imperative, in order to aaTe life At this juncture I called on Messrs Sander nnd Sotie, procuring some of tinir Extract of the Eucalyptus Globulus. end by the' application of the same I had the satisfaction of seeing my eon within a fortnight out of all danger, and to-day be is recoTered. I may just add that it was when the crisis had been reached, that the extract referred to was first applied. I abstain from expressing my feelinga towards Messrs Sander and Sons in this declaration, but anyone may imagine them better than I can describe them in words. And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously belie Ting the same to be true, and by Tirtue of the provisions of an Act of the Parliament of Vicoria, rendering persons making a fulse declaration punishable for wilful and corrupt perjury.—Fbanz Kaabe, Decland at Sandhurst, in- the Colony of Victoria, this • seyenteeni.h day of October, one thousand eight hundred and eereiily-scTen, before me, Moritz Cohn, J.P. ITS CLAIM AS A CURATIVE. It has now become the fashion with the inTentors or dieeoverers of remedial agents to claim something litllo short of infallibility and universality of euro for their respective ageute. Messrs Sander and Sens do nothing of the sort. They have confidence that their oil possesses many virtues; but the full exteut of theee they do not know yet. They are now collecting data, and they are most enreful and eearohing in performing this. It is, quite sure then, that their eucalypti oil can fairly assert itself to be a grand panacea for many of the ills that flesh is heir to. In Scarlet, Typhoid, or any case of Fever, noihing wiSl protect better agaitist contagion than a few drops of the oil poured in the palm of the hand, and rubbed in, in order to liberate the Tapors, or sprinkled oTer the clothes. The perfume will be noticed for a great length of time. For Children Attending Schools, the same mode may be adopted. In Cases of Sickness, a few drops put into a saucer, and put into the room will, being an etheric oil, evaporate,' and fill the room with the purifying Tapor. Are you obliged to Travel! A few drop* occasionally rubbed on the body, will protect against any contagion you may be exposed to, in coming in direct contact with sick persons, or in sleeping in the same room with, or in beds occupied preTiously by sick persons. All Jlotelkeepers will do well to sprinkle from time to time in drawers, where linon is usually kept, a few drops of the pure essential oil. It produces no spots whateTer, db every particle of it evaporates, and nothing remains. In short, to7iere a disitifectant is needed, the pure essential eoualypii oil ought to be the one you have recourse to, and no family ought to be without it. For all (Founds, Cuts, Hums, Scoldings, Ulcers, and Cancerous Wounds, a piece of linen wrapped round tho suffering part, and moistened with a fsw drops of the eucalypti essence, will stop all pain, and effect a speedy oure. In cases where a piece of liven cannot bo applied, the moistening of the suffering part with (he pure oil will do as well. In Case of Colds moisten the nostrils with a few drops and iuhaio the vapour, and you will feel the immediate relief, and entire riddance of the heat. In all cases io7tere the Lungs may be Affected, iho above-mentioned process, continually repeated, will be the beat that can be advised. In cases of Rheumatism, a mixture ol one part of the pure essential eucalypti oil with three partß of spirits of wine, well rubbed in the suffering part, has acted bolter than any other remedy. In all cases of Inflammation, the ail may be applied to tho part uffected. In severe cases of 2'oothavhe of rheumatic origin, the pure essence may be applied on the extcrna£j3urt of Ibe face. In casesojln)'lamination ofthe Eyes, apply the pure oil to I ho outside of the eyelids. Headache and lllummatie Pains in the Head are positively removed and cured by rubbing the oil on the uiiected parts. For many Cases of Severe Bruises the oil has proved the best remedy. Inwardly used, take three or four drops in half a tumbler of water. The essence effects a most surprising change- of the whole con* etituticn, correcting indigestion, and creating a healthy appetite. SSiirNo other essence is genuine except thut in tho viuls bearing on the labels our signature and trade mark. __ To be had at the manufactory, SANDER AND SONS, Bridge street, Sandhurst, Victoria.
