It alleviates and currs nil pains of rbeuuiatio nature, neuralgia, &o, I have used it with unpurallcled success i» swellings, bruises, sprains, wounds of all kinda, and of most eerions niiture, as ivt-11 a8 in all disorders of the bowols, diarrhoea, &c. lam fully convinced that the invention of that medicament will meet with lhe greatest estimation, nnd I glndly acknow]ed K o its merits for tho l.eijofit of the public,—John Chuicksiiank, M.D., L.R.C.S.E., Health Officer. 2nd Aforch, 1878. , 1 certify to tho seal of the Council of the City of Sandhurst being affixed to this document, D. MafldonpiiH, Town Clerk. Statutory Declaration. I, "Svnnz llu:>be, of Iron bark, Snndhursr,in tho Colony of Vic'oria, Austrclia, do solemnly and sincerely doclure, that; guided by the desire that all who may becoiro nillictcd as I wns may be enabled to tn!:e advanlnge of my publication, I mnke tho following declaration : On the 25iJi June, 1877, my son Alfred, six years of ago, was accidentally hurt with an axe on the knee. lat once took all pains to procure nirdical assistance, by calling at first on Dr Austin, who was subsequently assisted by Drs Penfold and Maeaillivray. However, in spite of all tho combined efforts of the eaid gentlemen, the malady took such a bud turn that- the paticct wus lying in uninterrupted wound-fever, and on the 17th Auguet, 1877, the opinion was given by Dr Mce^illivray, that an amputation of the injured limb had become inoperative, in order to save lilb. At this juncture I colled on Messrs Sunder and Sods, procuring some of thtir Extract of the . Eucalyptus Globulus. and by the application of lhe' same I hud the euti.<faction of seeing my eon within a fortnight out. of all danger, and to-day he i 3 recovered. I may just arid that it was when the crisis had been reached, that the extract referred to was first applied. I abstain from expressing my feelings towavds Messrs Sander and Bons in this declaration, but anyone may imagine them better than I can describe them in words. And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing lhe came to be true, nnd by virtue of tho provisions of an Act of the Parliament of Victoria, rendering persons making a false declaration punishable foi wilful tvnd corrupt perjury.—Fjunz VUabe, Dedar.d at Sandhurst, in tbe Colony ol Victoria, this seventeenth day of October, or.o thousand eight hundred "and eerenty-geven, before me, Morita Cohn, J.P. ITS CLAIM AS A CURATIVE." It has now become .the fcßliion with the inventora or -riiscovprers of remedial agents to claim something little short of infallibility and universality of euro for their respective struts. Mopsrn Sander and Satis do norhing of tbe sort. They have confidence that their oil popsesees muny virtues'; but the full extent of these they do not know yet. They are now collecting dn(a, and they are most careful and searching in performing this. It iB quite sure then, that their eucalypti oil can fairly asßerfc itself to bo a grisud panacea for many of the ills that flesh iB heir to. '.' In Scarlet, Typhoid, or any cane of Fever, nothing will protect better against contagion than a few dropß of the oil poured in the p»lm of tho hand, and rubbed in, in order to liberate the vapors, or sprinkled over tho clothes. The perfume will bo noticed for a great length of lime. For Children Attending Schools, tho same mode may be adopted. In Cases of Sickness, a few drops put into a saucer, and put into the room will, being an ctheric- oil, evaporate, and fill tho room with. tho purifying vapor. Are you obliged to Travel! A few drops occasionally rubbed on tho body, will protect against any contagion you may bo exposed to, in coming in direct contact with sick persons, or in sleeping iv the came room with, or in beds occupied previously by sick persons. All JloteUceepers will do well to sprinkle from timn to ti:no in drawers, 'where linen is usually kept, a few drops of the puro essential oil. It produces no spots whatever, aa every particle of it evaporates, and nothing remains. In short, tvhere a disinfectant is 'needed, the pure ejient.ial ecunlypii oil ought to bo the one you have recourso to, and no family ought to be without, it. For all IFounds, Cuts, Burns, Scaldinoi, Ulcers, and Cancerous Wounds, a piece of linen wrapped round tho suSVriug p«rt, and moistened with a faw drops of the eucalypti essence, will atop all pain, uivi eifect a speedy cure. In all cases ivlterc the Lungs may he Affected, the above-mentioned proceas, coutiitually repeated, will be tho best that c»n be udvised. I.i cases of Rheumatism, a mixture ot one putt' of the puro essential eucalypti oil with three ptwtßof srnritsof wino, well rubbed in tho Buttering part, has acted better than any other remedy.
