John Hall, Messrs iVioorhouse, Kolleston, and Saunders relatire to the maladministration of the Waste Linda of that provincial district re the abuse known as gridirouine. The petition was read in such ft fragmeulary manner by the Clerk to the Assembly that ita precise contents could not possibly be noted. THAT HOHOBABIUM. In reply to Mr Pyke, Major Atkinson said the Government would agree to a \ recommittal of tha Estimates for tho purpose of reconsidering the reduction of the honorarium.

The resolutions from the Committee of Supply were reported, read, and agreed to.

The amendments nittde by the Legislative Council in the Qualification of Electors Bill were considered and agreed to. COMMITTEK OF SUPPLY. The House then went into Committee of Supply. The first vote was the Near Zealand Institute, £sCo—passed. The next rote considered was £3000 for tho Agent General's Department.— Mr Gisborne moved as an amendment that the amount bo reduced by £1000. —Tho vote, as printed, was passed. The next voto was Charitable Aid, £18 7Co—passed as printed. Item Luuatic Asylums, £26,822 — parsed. lioin Printing and Stationery, £24,568 —passed. Item Miscellaneous Services, £3<1.801. Mr Kelly moved that the item £2CC3 be struck out. The vdt? as printed was passed. The Government Insurance Account, £20,911. On a division on the motion to strike out £5000 'for tho erection of Government Insurance Oilicei—Ajea 22, .Noes 30. Item retained. Government iNulive Reserves Account, £1114, Surplus Land Fund, Account £14,000—passed. Clause 10, Minister of Public Works £548,598. —In reply to Mr George, the Minister of Works said he hoped to make tiio Public Works Statement this week. * ."■ Mr Lundon suggested that the House should adjourn.
