AUCKLAND.
This day. The Unemployed in AucklandRev. S. Edgar Defends Mrs Britten. Delegates of the unemployed laborers forwarded a petition to the Ci:y Council, stating that 200 men were idle, and asking for work until the Government was propared to prosecute some Public Works. lev. S. Edgnr comes forward as a champion of Mrs Britten, and lias challenged any ten men to meet him on a public platform and argue her views.
