Thjsday. A Masonic Ceremony,
A Groat Display in Wellington,
The foundation fitono of the new Courts of Justice was lnid to-day, by the Hon. I?. Wliilnkor, Attorney.General, and PK.W. rioTtncial GiHnd Mas(er for
the North Island of New Zealand, S.C., with Masonic ceremonies. It was the grandest display of its kind ever seen here. Fully 4000 people were assembled, and over five hundred ladies, for whom raised seat 3 were prepared. About 150 Masons were in regalia, mauy being from other parts of the colony. All tho local volunteer forces assisted at the ceremony, which was very Imposing. The day was beautifully fine, and was generally observed as a holiday.
Ono of the officers of the Naval Brigade is to be tried by Court Martial to morrow for conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman. This is the first case of the kind over tried in tho colony.
