WELLINGTON.
Last night. A deputation from the Chamber of Commerce waited on the Commissioner of Customs this morning to ask that packages containing goods subject to ad valorem duty should be exempt from duly. After some discussion the Commissioner said he would giro the matter his serioufe consideration.
At an inquest to-day on the body of John Kae, who died suddenly yesterday, a,verdict was returned that death resulted from natural causes.
Korly this morning the Marlborough District Bivers Union Bill was read a third time,' and the Bating Act Amendment Bill was rejected from the Committee with amendments.
