AUCKLAND.
This day.
At the Police Court to-day a woman named Mary Ann Dixon was committed for trial for attempting to pass base coin in the grocery establishment of Holland and Forlzer. A quantity of spurious coins were found in her possession.
Mr Buckland reports: —Fat cattle prices steady, 27s to 30s ; fat steers, 26s ; fat cows and fat sheep without alteration ; ewes, Ss to lls ; wethers, 12s to 14s; lambs, abundant, 10s to las.
