WELLINGTON.
This day. The "Wairarapa Gfoldfield. Brandon, Williams and party hare completed arrangements with Government which will secure them 500 yards by 200 of auriferous ground near the Wairarapa Lake. Two claims on the south, another on the north, and another on the new line on the enst side, each 400 yards by 200, have been pegged out and applied for the party. They have also completed arrangements for the erection of a eight head battery.
A city tradesman was fined 20i and costs this morning for allowing the corporation water to run to waste.
