Sandhurst, the Ist, of M«r«-h, 1878. I iinve been investigating MeFsrs Sunder and Sons 1 Eticulypti Extract Bince its discovery, and I have to admit that there is besides it no medicament I know of, of such universal effect on the human system. I observed in tho first instance that, it- checks completely all inflammations of who!ever jji n( j—inflammation of the chest, lungs, uil throat affections, such na bronchitis, and diptheria. It alleviates ond eureß ull pains of rheumatic nature, neuralgia, &c, I have used it with unparalleled success i- swellings, bruises, sprains, wo ndg of nil kinds, and of most ferious nnturo, us well as in all disorders of the bowels, diarrhoea, Ac. lam fully convinced that the invention of that medicament will meet with the greatest estimation, and I gladly acknowledge its merits for the benefit of the public,—JoHK CfiUlCKshank, M.D., L.R.C.S.E., Health Officer. 2nd .V< nrch, 1878. 1 certify to the srtil of the Council of tho I City of t-aiifiliurut being aflixed to this document, D. JMardougell, Town Clerk. Statutory Declaration. I, Fnmz Knnbe, of lronbark, Sandhurst, in the Colony of Victoria, Australia, do solemnly and einrerely declare, that guided by the desire that all who may become afflicted as I was may ba enabled to take advantage of my publication, I make the following declaration : On the 25th Juno, 1877, my son Alfred, six years of age, was accidentally hurt with an aio on the knee. lat once took all pains to procure, medical assistance, by calling at first on Dr Austin, who was subsequently assisted by Drs Penfold and Macgiilivray. However, in spite of all the combined efforts of the said gentlemen, the malady took such a bad turn I that the patient was lying in uninterrupted wound-fever, and on tho 17th August, 1877, the opinion was given by Dr Macgiilivray, that an amputation of the injured limb had become imperative, in order to save life. At this juncture I called on Mesbrs Sander ond Sons, procuring son-.e of thtir Extract of the Eucalyptus Globulus, and by tho application of tho same I had tho eulisfaction of seeing my sou -within % fortnight out of ell danger, and,to-day he is recovered. I may just add that it was when the crisis had been reached, that the extract referred to was first applied. I abstain from expressing my feelings towards Messrs Sander and Sons in this declaration, but anyone may imngiue them bi-lte'r than I can describe them in words. And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the earoc to bo true, nnd by virtue of the provisions of an Act of the Parliament of Vicoria, rendering persons making a false declaration puuiehable for wilful and corrupt perjury.—Fbakz JRaabb, Deciarid at Sandhurst, in the Colony of Victoria, this seventeenth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and seventy ecven, before me, Morilz Cohn, J.P. ITS CLAIM AS A CURATIVE. It has now becomo tho f.iehion with the inventors or diecovcrers of remedial agents to claim something little Bhort of infallibility nnd universality of cure for their respective agents. Messrs Sander and Sans <>o noibing of tho BOrt. They have confidence that their oil possesses many virtues; but the full extent of theßo they do not know yet. They are now collecting duta, and they are most careful and searching in performing this. It is quite sure then, that their eucalypti oil can fairly assert itself to be a grand panacea for many of the iils that flesh is heir to. In Scarlet, Typhoid, or any case of Fever, nothing will protect better against contagion than a few drops of the oil poured in the palm of tho hand, and rubbed in, in order to liberate the vapors, or sprinkled over tho clothes. The perfume will be noticed for a great length of time. For Children Attending Schools, the same mode may bo adopted. _ In Cases of Sickness, a few drops put into a eaucer, and put into the room will, being an etheric oil, evaporate, and fill the room with the purifying vapor. Are you, obliged to Travel! A few drops occasionally rubbed on the body, will protect against any contagion you may be exposed to, in coming in direct contact with sick persons, or in slecpiug in the same room with, or in beds occupied previously by sick persons. All Motelkeepers will do well lo sprinklo from time to time in drawers, where linen is usually kept, a few drops of tho pure essential oil. It produces no Bpots whatever, as every particle of it evaporates, and nothing remains. . . In short, where a disinfectant is needed, the pure essential eeualypli oil ought to be tho one you have recourse 10, and no family ought to be without it. " x For all Wounds, Cats, J??«pw, Scoldings, Ulcers, and Cancerous Wounds, a pieco qf linen wrapped round tho suffering part, and moistened with a few drops of tho eucalypti essence, will stop all pain, and effect a speedy cure. In cases where a piece of linen cannot be applied, tho moistening of the suffering part with the pure oil will do as well. In Case of Colds moisten the noetrils with a few drops and inhale the vapour, aud you will feel the immediate relief, aud entire riddance of the heat. In all cases tolierC the Lungs may be Affected, .the above-mentioned process, coutiuually repeated, will bo tho bost that can be advißed. In cases of Rheumatism, a mixture of one part of the pure essential eucalypti oil with three parts of spirits of wine, well rubbed in tho suffering part, has acted belter than any other remedy. In all cases of Inflammation} the eil may be applied to the part affected. In severe vases of Toothache of rhcumalio origin, tho pure essence may bo applied on the external part of tho face. Ir, cases of Inflammation of t/ie Eyes, apply tho pure oil to the outside of the cvolids. Seadaclie and Rheumatic Pains in tho Head are positively removed and cured by rubbing the oil on the oileoted parts. For many Cases of Severe Bruises the oil has proved the best remedy. Inwardly used, take three or four drops in hnlf a tumbler of water. The essence eilbcte a moat surprising change of the whole constitution, correcting iudigestion, and creating a healthy appetite. i®°No other essence is genuine except that in the viula bearing on the labels our signature and trade mark.
