I certify to the seal of the Council of tho Citj of fc'aiutliurel being atiixed to this document, T). Mncdoiignll, Town Clerk. Statutory Declaration. I, Franz liaabe, of lronbark, Sniulhurst, in tho Colony of Victoria, Australia, do solemnly nnd nneoivly declare, that, guided by the desire that ail who may become afflicted as I was may bo enabled to take advantage- of my publication, I make the following declaration : On the 25th June, 1577, my son Alfred, six years of ugo, was accidentally hurt with an axe on the knee. Ia! once took all pains to procure medical assistance, by calling at. first on Dr Austin, who waß subsequently assisted by Dra Penfold and Macgillivray. However, in spite of all the combined efforts of the said gentlemen, the malady took such a bad turn that the patient wae lying in uninterrupted wound-fever, and on tho 17th August, 1877, the opinion was given by Pr llacgillivray, that an amputation of the injured limb had become imperative, in order to save life. At this juncture I culled on Me&Brs Sander nnd Sons, procuring some of tin ir Extract of the Eucalyptus Globulus, nnd by the application of the same I had the satisfaction of eeeing my Fon -within a fortnight out of all danger, and to-day hois recovered. I may just add that it was when tho crisis had been reached, that the extract referred to was first applied. I abstain from expressing my feelii gs towards Messrs Sander and Sons in this declaration, but biv}one may imagino them b.-tter than I can describe them in words. And I make this eolomn declaration conscientiously believing the eamc to be true, and by virtue of Iho provisions of an Act of the I'arliameDt of Victoria, rendering persons making a fuleo declaration punishable for wilful and corrupt perjury.—Fbanz I*AABE, Dec-bin d nt Sandhurst, in the Colony of Victoria, this seventeenth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and seventy- eevc?), before me, Moritz Colin, J.P. ITS CLAIM AS A CURATIVE. It has now become tho faehion with the inventors or discoverers of remedial ogeivU to claim something little Bhort of infallibility and universality of cure for their respective agents. Messrs Sander and Sens do nothing of the sort. They have confidence that their oil possesses many vittues; but the full extent of these they do not know yet. They arc now collecting data, and they are most c&reful and searching in performing this. It is quite cure then, that their eucalypti oil can fairly assert itself to be a grand panacea for many of the ills that flesh is heir to. In Scarlet, Typhoid, or any case of Fever, no.hing will protect belter against contagion than a few drops of the oil poured iv the pulm of tho hand, and rubbed in, in order to liberate the vapors, or sprinkled over the clothes. The perfume will be noticed for a great length of time. For Children Attending Schools, the same mode may be adopted. In Cases of Sickness, a few drops put into a aaucer, and put into tho room will, being an etheric oil, evaporate, and fill the room with the purifying vapor. Are you obliged io Travel! A few drops occasionally rubbed on the body, will protect agaiust any contagion you may be exposed to, in coming in direct contact with sick persons, or in sleeping in the same room with, or in bpds occupied previously by sick persons. All Hoielkeepers will dp well to sprinkle from lime to time in drawers, where linen is usually kept, a few drop! of tho puro essential oil. It produces no spots whatever, as every particle of it evaporates, and nothing remains. In short, toliere a disinfectant is needed, the pure esfcut.ial ecuatj'pii oil ought to bo the one you have recourse to, and no family ought to be without it. For all (Founds, Cuts, Burns, Scaldings, UU'sTs, and Cancerous Wounds, a piece of linen wrapped roup,d tho Buffering part. «nd moistened with a few dropa of the eucalypti eßsonce, will stop ail pain, and effect a speedy cure. In cases where a piece of linen cannot be applied, the moistening of the Buffering part with the puro 0.l will do aj well. In Case of Colds moisten the nostrils with a few drops nt>ci inhale the vapoiU', and you will feel the immediate relief, and entire riddance of the heat. In all cases where the Lungs may be Affected, tho above-mentioned proceaa, continually repeated, will be the best that can bo advised. In case's of Rheumatism, a mixturo of one part of thp pure eapenlial eucalypti- oil with three parts of spirits of wine, well rubbed in the Buffering part, has acted better than any other remedy. I'll all cases of Inflammation, the eil may bo applied to tho part affected. /;i severe eases of Toothache of rheumatic origin, the pure CE-gcnce may be applied on the external part of the face. In cases of Inflammation of the Eyes, apply Ibe pure oil to the outside of the tjclide. Headache and Rheumatic Fains in the Read are ppsitivelv removed u«d cured by rubbing the oil ou the affected par!s. For many Cases of Severe JSruises the oil has proved the best remedy. Inwardly used, take three or four drops in half a tumbler of water.
