William Webb Moore was charged with a breach of the Naval Training School Act, by absconding -from the service of his master, Mr Trotter, of Waiomo. Mr Miller appeared for defendant. Mr Kenny said he had sufficient evidence to bring a cage of cruelty against Trotter. ' Mr Miller applied for a remand till Friday, which was granted.

F. Bryant, for illegally permitting night soil to remain in a place where it would prove a nuisance to passers-by, was fined Is and costs.
