[We continue our report of the proceedings at the it.M. Court yesterday. The following evidence in the case of Lambert was taken : —]

Majijr Murray deposed that he was in command of tho Thames Scottish "Volunteers. He held in his hand a document which was the nominal roll of the Thames Scottish Volunteers for 1873. It was signed by witness and forwarded to Major Cooper, the officer then commanding the district. He should think no one had any right to it but Major Cooper. If it had been given to Lambert it was for the purpose of giving it to his superior officer. The document, he believed was made by Mr John Snodgrass, who was then secreiary to the company. Witness was commander of the Thames Volunteers, under Major Withers, and had charge and control of the Militia ani Volunteer Office at Shortlai.d. Soon after his appointment he missed several copies of capitation rolls and outward correspondence. He took chtu'ge about the beginning of August, 1878, Under I lie regulatious it was necessary that two copies of the capitation rolls should be sent in every year to the District OHicer.
