The House resumed at 7-30. The Begistration of Electors Act was farther considered in committee.
On the motion of Mr Tole the following was added:—An additional clause providing for the transfer of an elector's name from the roil of one -district to that of another in case of a change of residence. The schedule to the Bill was ameuded, adopted, and reported to the House. BEGVLJITION OF KLECTTOMS. The Regulation of Elections' Bill was ..then considered in committee.. . The interpretation of the clause was altered so as to make the word " elector " mean any person whose name appears on the Electoral 801 lor the holder of a miners'right. Mr Turnbuli moved that the clause might be made to read so that all elections would take placejon the same day. The amendment was lost—Ayes 30, noes 31. The clause as printed was adopted.
