This day. Death of Mv Thomas Young. Mr Thomas Young, Judge of Native Lands Court, died suddenly at Otaki. He was formerly interpreter to the House of Representatives. It is understood that the liabilities incurred for Public Works under the fieo millions loan are much greater than was anticipated. It is probable that Government will propose the gradual extinguishment of the present deficiency instead of during one year. Wednesday. Hank of England rate 3 per cent.
