Medical PUJIK'VOLATILE EUCALYPTUS GLOBI'LUS EXTRACT. UNDER the <listinj4uis!;ecl putronago of Ilia Majesty the King of Italy, at JJotnp, according to communion!ion received from the C'onsulGenoral for Italy, at Melbourne, upon inßlruction9 from tho Minister for l?oreign Afl-iirs, tinted 141.h Maivh, 1878 TESTIMONIALS. Certificate. Sandhurst, the Ist of March, 1878. I have been investigating Messrs Sander and Sons' Euculypti Extract since its discovery, and I bnvo to admit that there is besides it no medicament I know of, of such universal effect oh tho human system. I observed in tbo first instance that it checks completely all inflammations of whatever kind—infinmmaUon of the chest, lungs, all throat affections, such as bronchitis, and diptheria. It alleviates and cures all pains of rheumatic; nature, neuralgin, &c, I have used it with unparalleled success in swellings, bruises, sprains, woinds of all kinds, and of mo3t Feriouß miture, as well as in all disorders of tho bowels, diarrhoea, &c. lam fully convinced that the invention of that medicament will meet with the greatest estimation, and I gladly acknowledge its merits for the benefit of the public,—John Cbuickbhank, M.D., L.R.C.S.E., Health Officer. 2nd &? arch, 1878. _ . 1 certify to the Beal of the Council of the City of Sandhurst being affixed to this document, I). Alucdongall, Town Clerk. Statutory Declaration, I, Franz Raabe, of Ironbark, Sandhurst, in the Colony of Victoria, Australia, do solemnly and sincerely dcclure, that guided by the desiro that all who may become afflicted as I was may be enabled to take advantage of my publication, I make the following declaration : On the 25th June, 1877, my son Alfred, six years of cge, wa3 accidentally hurt with an axe on the knee. lat once took all paiiiß to procure medical assistance, by calling at first on Dr Auetin, who was subsequently assisted by Dra Penfold and Macgillivray. However, in ppito of til the combined efforts of the said gentlemen, the malady took such a bud turn that the patient \i»s lying in uninterrupted wound-fever, and en the 17th August, 1877, the opinion was given by Dr Macgillivray, tliut an amputation of tho injured limb had become imperative, in order to save life. At this juncture I cj'-lk'd on Messrs Sander and Sore, procuring fonie of thtir Extract; of the EuculyptUß Globulue, and by tho application of the eamo I had the satisfaction of seeing my eon within a fortnight; out of nil danger, and to-duy be is recovered. I may just add that it was when the crisis had been reached, that the extract referred to was first applied. I nbstsin from expressing my feeliugs towards Messrs Sunder and Sons in this declaration, but anyone mny imagine them belter than I can describe them in words. And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to bo true, and by virtue of the provisions of an Act of tho Parliament of Victoria, rendering persons making a fulse declaration punishable for wilful and corrupt perjury.—Feanz Baabe, Declared at Sandhurst, in the Colony of Victoria, this seventeenth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-seven, bofoio mo, Moritz Cohn, J.P. ITS CLAIM AS A CURATIVE. It has now become the fußhion with the inventors or discoverers of remedial agents to claim, something little short of infallibility and universality- of cure for their respective agents. Mcssia Sander and Sens do nothing of the sort. They have confidence that their oil poseesses many virtues j but the full extent of these they do not know yet. They arc now collecting data, and they are most careful and searching in performiug this. It is quite Bure then, that their oucalypti oil can fairly aeßerfc itself to bo a grand panacea for many of the ills that flesh is heir to. In Scarlet, Typhoid, or any cane of Fever, nothing will protect better againßt contagion than a few drops of the oil poured in the pnhn of the hand, and rubbed iv, in order to liberate the vapora, or sprinkled over the clothes. Tho perfume will be noticed for a great length of time. For Children Attending Schools, the uamo mode may be adopted. • In Cases of Sickness, a few drops put into a saucer, and put into tho room will, being ■ an ethcric oil, evaporate, and fill the room with the purifying vapor. Are you obliged to Travel! A few drops occasionally rubbed on ths body, will protect against any contagion you may bo exposed to, in coming in direct contact with sick persons, or in sleeping in tho earns room with, or in beds occupied previously by sick persons. All SotelJceepers will do well to sprinkle from time to time in drawers, whero linon is usually kept, a few dropa of tho pure essential oil. It produces no spots whatever, as every particle of it ovaporateß, and nothing remains. In short, where a disinfectant is needed, tho pure essential ecualypti oil ought to be the one you havo recourse to, and no family ought to be without it. For all Wounds, Cuts, Burns, Scoldings, Ulcers, and Cancerous Wounds, a piece of linen wrapped round the suffering part, rind moiotened with a few drops of the eucalypti ecßence, will Btop all pain, and effect a speedy jcure. In cases where a piece of linen cannot be applied, tho inoieteniDg of the Buffering part with the puro oil willVjo as well. In Case of Colds moisten the nostrils with a few drops and inhale tho vapour, and you will feel the immediate relief, and entire riddance of the heat. In all cases wJiere the Lungs may he Affected, the above-mentioned process, continually repeated, will bo the best lhat can be advised. In cases of Rheumatism, a mixture ot one part of tbe pure essential eucalypti oil with three parts of spirits of wine, well rubbed in the suffering part, has acted bettor than anjr other remedy. In all cases of Inflammation, the eil may be applied to tho part affected. In severe cases of Toothache of rheumatic origin, tho pure eesenco may be applied on the external part of the face. In cases of In/lamination of Hie Myes, apply the pure oil to tho outside of the eyelids. Jleadachc and Hheumatw Pains in the Scad aro positively removed and cured by rubbing the oil on the aileded parts. For many Cases of Severe Bruises tho oil lias proved tho boat remedy. Inwardly used, take thrco or four drops in I half a tumbler of water. Tho essence effects a most surprising change of tho whole constitution, correcting indigestion, and creating a healthy appetite.
