TTISFDEII tho cliß'iii/>nis]>ccl patronago of xJ His Majesty tha King of Italy, at Homo, according to communication received from tho Consul-General for Italy, at Melbourno, upon instructions from the Minister for Foreign Afluii™, dated 141 h March, 1878 TESTIMONIALS. Certificate. Sandhurst, the Ist of March, 1878. I hnve been investigating Meesra Sandor and Sons' JEuenlypti Extract since its discovery, and I havo to admit that there is besides it no medicament I know of, of such universal effect on tho human syßtem. I observed in tiie first instance that it checks completely oil inflammations of whatever kind —inflammation of tho chest, lungs, all throat affectioDß, such as bronchitis, and diptheria. It alleviates and cures all pains of rheumatic nature, neuralgia, &c, I ha*e used it with unporalh-led success in swellings, ! bruises, sprainß, wo-.nds of all lands, and of most ferioua natuvo, as well as in all disorders of tho bowels, diarrhoea, &c. lam fully convinced that tho invention of that medicament will meet with the greatest estimation, nnd I gladly acknowledge its merits for the benefit of Ihe put lie,—John Cbt/ickshake, M.D., L.Ti.C.S.E., Health Officer. 2nd March, 1878. I certify to the seal of the Council of the City of (■'amihurst being affixed to this document, D. JVircdougall, Town Clerk. Statutory Declaration. I, Fiai'z Iluislie, of Ironbark, Sandhurst, in the Colony of Victoria, Australia, do solemnly ami sincerely declure, that guided by the desire that all who may beeon>e afflicted as I whs may bs enabled to lake advantage of my publicaiion, I mako tho following declaration : On the 25th June, 1877, my son Alfred, six years of age, was accidentally hurt with an axo on the knre. Int once took all pains to procure m< dii-al aeßiatance, by calling at first on Dr Austin, who was subsequently assisted by Dra Penfcld and MaCfjillivray. However, in spite of all the combined efforls of the said gentlemen, the malady took such a bad turn that tho patient wsb lying in uninterrupted wound-fever, and on the 17th August, 1877, tho opinion was given by Dr Macgillivray, that an amputation of the injured limb had become imperative, in order to savo life. At this juncture I called on Mecars Sander and Sone, procuring eorue of tin ir Extract of the Eucalyptus Globulus, and by the application of the came I had the suiiei'action of Becing my son within v fortnight out of ull danger, and to-(!uy he is recovered. I may just add that it wus when tho vrittie had been reached, tbsit the extract referred to was first applied. I abstain from expressing ivy feelings towards Messrs Sunder and Sons in ibis declaration, but anyone may imagine them better than I can describe them in words. And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true, aud by virtue of | the provisions of an Act of the Parliament of j Vic'.oriu, rendering persons making a false declaration punishable for wilful and corrupt perjury.—Feanz Baabe, Declared at Sandhurst, in the Colony of Victoria, this Beveuteenth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and seventy- seven, beforo me, Moritz Cohn, J.P. ITS CLAIM AS A CUEATIVB. It haß now become the fashion with the iuventors or riiacoyerera of remedial agents to claim something little short of infallibility aud universality of cure for their respective agents. Messrs Sander and Sens do nothing of the Borfc. fXhey havo confidence that their oil possesses many virtues; but the full extent of theec they do not know yet. They are now collecting data, and they are most careful and searching in performing this. It is quite sure then, that their eucalypti oil can fairly assert itßelf to be a grand panacea for many of the ills that flebh is heir to.
In Scarlet, Typhoid, or any case of 'Fever ', nothing will protect better against contagion thau a few drops of the oil poured in the p»hn of the hand, aud rubbed in, in order to liberate the vapors, or sprinkled oycr the clothes. The perfume will be noticed for a great length of time.
For Children Attending Schools, the same mode mny bo adopted.
In Cases of Sickness, a few drops put into a saucer, and put into the room will, being an ctheric oii, evaporate, and fill the room with tho purifying vapor.
Are you obliged to Travel! A few drone occasionally rubbed on tiie body, will protect nguinst any contagion you may be exposed to, in coming in direct contact with sick persona, or in sleeping in tho same room with, or in beds occupied previously by sick persons. Ail JlottUceepers will do well to sprinkle from tiino to time in drawers, wheru linen is usually kept, a few drops of the pure essential oil. It produces no spots whatever, S3 every particle of ifc evaporate, and nothing remtiinn. In short, wJiere a disinfectant is needed, the pure essential eeualypu oil ought to be the one you have recourse to, and no family ought to ho without it. For all Wounds, Cuts, Burns, Scoldings, Ulcers, and Cancerous Wounds, a piece of linen wrapped round the suffering part, t-aid moistened with a few drops of tho eucalypti essence, will stop all pain, and effect a speedy cure. In cases where a piece of linen cannot be applied, the njoistening of tho suffering part with the pure Oil will do as well. In Case of Colds moisten tho nostrils with a few drops and inhale the vapour, and you will feel the immediate relief, and entire riddance o( tho heat.
In all cases w7tere the Lungs may be Affected, the above-mentioned process, continually repeated, will be the best that can be advised.
In cases of Rheumatism, a mixture of one part of the pure essential eucalypti oil with three parts of spirits of wine, well rubbed in the suffering part, baa acted better than any other remedy. In all cases of Inflammation, the eil may be applied to the part affected. In severe cases of Toothacho of rheumatic origin, ths pure essence may be applied on the external part of the face. In cases of Inflammation of the Eyes, apply tho pure oil to iho outsido of tho eyelids. Headache and lUieumatio Pains in the Head are po-utivoiy removed and cured by rubbing the oil on tho tiil'ceted parts. For many Cases of Severe Bruises tho oil has proved the best remedy. Inwardly used, take threo or four drops in half a tumbler of water. The essence effects a most surprising change of tho whole constilution, correcting indigestion, and creating a heukhy appetite. SSlTlfo other essence is gonuine except Ihut in the vials bearing on tho labels our signature and trado mark. To be had at the manufactory, SABDEB AND SONS, ißvidge street, Sandhurst, Tictoria.
