UNDER the distinguished patronage of His Majesty the King of Italy, afc Home, according to communication received from the Consul-General for Italy, at Melbourne, upon instructions from the Minister for Foreign Affaire, Anted 14lh Mmvh, 1878. TESTIMONIALS. Certificate. Sandhurst, I lie Ist of March, 1878. I liave been invcatigating Messrs Sander and Sons' Eucalypti Extract since its discovery, and I have to arlmit that there is besides ife no medicament I know of, of such universal effect on the human system. I observed in the first instance that it checks completely ull inflammations of whatever kind —inflammation of the chest, lungs, all throat aflectious, such as bronchitis, and diptheria. It allevintes and cures all pnins of rheumatic nature, neuralgia, &c, I have used it with unparalleled Buecoeo i;; swellings, ! bruises, sprains, wounds of all Linds, and of ' most ferions nature, as well us in all disorders of the bowels, diarrhrea, «&c. lam fully convinced that the invention of that medicament will meet with the greatest estimation, and I gladly acknowledge its merits for the benefit of the public,—John CntriCKshank, M.D., L.R.0.5.E., Health Officer. 2nd Mnrch, 1878. I certify to the seal of the Council of the City of Sandhurst bring aflixed to this document, I). AlcdoH/'nll, Town Clerk. Statutory Declaration. I, Frnnz Knnbe, of Ironbnrk, Hanclhurst, in the Colony of Yic'oiia, Australia, do solemnly and sincerely fiecluro, tliafc guided by the desire that uil who raiiy become afflicted aa I whb may be enabled to take advantage of my publication, I make the following declaration : On the 2oih June, 1877, my son Alfred, six years of age, was accidentally hurt with nn axe on the knee. Int once took all pains to procure medical assietance, by calling at first on Dr Austin, who was subsequently assisted by Drs Penfold and Mocgillivray. However, in spite of r,ll the combined efforts of tho said gentlemen, tho malady took such a bad turn tbafc the patient wp.b Ijii'g in uninterrupted wound-fovcr, and on tho 17lh August, 1877, the opinion was given by Dr Macgillivray, that an*(imputation of tho injured limb had become imperative, m order to save life. At this juncture 1 called on Messrs Sander and Sonp, procuring fsome of their Extract of fho Eucalyptus Globulus, and by tho application of tho er.me I hud the satisfaction of seeing my eon within a fortnight out of bII danger, and to-dny he is recovered. I may just add [ that it was when the crisis had been reached, that tho extract referred to was first applied. I abstain from expressing my feelings towardo Messrs Sander and Sons in this declaration, but anyone may imagine them bttter than I can describe them in words. And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true, and by virtue of the provisions of an Act of the Parliament of Victoria, rendericg persons making a false declaration punishable for wilful and corrupt perjury.—Fbakz itAABE, Declared at Sandhurst,'in the Colony of Victoria, this seventeenth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-seven, before me, Moritz Colin, J.P. ITS CLAIM AS A CUEATIVE. It has now become tho fashion with the inventors or discoverers of remedial agents to claim something little short of infallibility and universality of cure for their respective agents. Messrs Sander aud Sons do nothing of the sort. They have confidence that their oil possesses many virtues; but the full extent of theso they do not know yet. They are now collecting data, and they are most careful and searching in performing this. It is quite sure then, that their eucalypti oil can fairly assert itself to be a grand panacea for many of the ilia that flesh is heir to. In Scarlet, Typhoid, or any cane of Fever, nothing will protect better against contagion than a few drops of the oil poured in the pulm of the hand, and rubbed in, in order to liberate the vapors, or sprinkled over the clothes. Tho perfume will be noticed for a great length of time. For Children Attending Schools, the same mode may bo adopted. In Cases of Sickness, a few drops put into a saucer, and put into the room will, being an etheric oil, evaporate, aud fill the room with the purifying vapor. Are you obliged to Travel! A few drops occasionally rubbed on the body, will protect against any contagion you may be exposed to, in coming in direct contact with sick persons, or in sleeping in the earns room with, or in beds occupied previously by eick persons. All Motelkeepers will do well to sprinkle from tiino to timo in drawers, where linen is usually kept, a few drops of the pure essential oil. It produces no spots whatever, as every particle of it evaporates, and nothing romainß. In short, where a disinfectant is needed, tho pure essential ecualypti oil ought to be the one you have recourso to, aud no family ought to bo without it. For all Wounds, Cuts, JBurns, Scdldings, Ulcers, and Cancerous Wounds, a piece of linen wrapped round tho Buffering part, wnd moistened with a few dropa of the eucalypti esfieuce, will slop all pain, und effect a speeds cure. In casea where a piece of ljuen cannot be applied, the moistening of tho ■ suffering part with the pure oil will do as well. ■ In Case of Colds moisten the nostrils with a few drops and inhale tho vapour, and you will feel the immediate relief, and entire riddance of the heat. In all -cases where the Lungs may be Affected, the above-mentioned process, continually repeated, will bo tho best that can be advised. * In cases of a mixture of one part of the pure essential eucalypti oil with three parts of spirits of wine, well rubbed in the Buffering part, has acted better than any other remedy. In all cases of Inflammation, the eil may be applied to tho part affected. In severe cases of Toothache of rheumatic origin, tho pure essence may bo applied on the external part of the face. In cases of Inflammation of tJie Eyes, apply the puro oil to the outside of the eyelids. Headache aud Rheumatic Pains in tho Head are positively removed and cured by rubbing the oil on tho nfl'ectod parts. For many Cases of Severe Sruises tho oil has proved the best remedy. Inwardly used, take three or four drops in half a tumbler of water. . The essence effects a most surprising change of tho whole constitution, correcting indigestion, and creating a healthy appetite. ggjTNo other essence is genuine except that in tho vials bearing on tho labels our signature and trade mark. To bo had at the manufactory, SANDER AND SONS, Bridgo street, Sandhurst, Victoria. Sold in Vials only at Is 6d and 2s 6d each.
