I turned oot the siller, an' handed it till her, An 1 sune a braw lookin'-glass decked the drawer's-heid; An' while she waa sittin', the cttwhy.wark knittin', To hing on't, I swore 'twas a wastm'o r threid. But I wasna' heeded, an' Bhe said, 'twas needed To matf it the same as a* bodies had theirs: " Her man was demented, an' ehe was tor. mented, The way that he meddled her 'woman* affairs.'"
