Thames Goldfield Hospital.

The usual monthly meeting of the Committee of this Institution was held at the Salutation Hotel last evening. Present—Mr L. Ehrenfried (Vice-Presi-dent), Mr Hudson (Treasurer), Beys. X.. Laishley, V. Luah, P. O'Beilly, and 8. J. Neill, Messrs Bonshaw, Aitken, Prater, Mcllhone, McGowan, Murray, and Davies. :

A letter was read from Mrs Hume, - enclosing a further cheque of £12, being the result of a sale of the balance of the articles from her bazaar. The writer also enclosed a cheque of £1 Is from her husband, Mr A. Hume. Ordered to be acknowlegod with thanks. A BEQUE9T. A request from the old man who had improT ed tbe Befuge garden, for a suit; of clothes, was referred to the House Committee. HOSPITAL COMMITTEE. Mr Benshaw asked had any steps been taken re the Annual Hospital Demonstration. The Secretary said ho wished to know if he had to take any steps with reference to the Hospital demonstration. It was decided to take the usual preliminary action. lETTEB OP SYMPATHY.

On the motion of Mr Eenshaw, it was resolved that a letter of sympathy be sent to the wife of the late Dr Gilbert* • surgeon on the hon medical staff of the Hospitel. HOUSE COMMITTEE. The House Committee were appointed as follows :—Kevi. V. Lush, B. Laishley, and Messrs Mcllhone and McGowan.
