OHINEMURI.

Per Pigoon Esprsss, (FBOM OUR OWN COSHESPONDENT.) Paeboa, yesterday. A meeting of Volunteers and residents of the district was held at the Criterion Hotel last evening, for the purpose of bidding farewell to Drill-Instructor Grant, who for some time past has been stationed here for the purpose of drilling our volunteers. The chair was occupied by Mr C. V. Mitchell, who, after the usual loyal and patriotic toasts had been given, proposed tbe health of Mr Grant in very pleasing terms. After the toast had been duly honored and responded to by Mr Grant, that gentleman proposed the ladies in a highly amusing speech, and the remainder of the evening was spent in the usual convivial manner. Mr Grant left here for the Thames on horseback.
