A deputation from the Wellington Locfil Industries Association waited upon the Colonial Industry Committee this morning, supplying a list of alterations in the tariff required by the different trades, some trades wanting the duties ou certain articles increased, others wanting decrease. As some trades wanted an entire remission of duties on articles which other trades desired a protective duty, t!e different trades had to compromise matters so that all might agree as to a list to be laid before the Parliamentary Committee. The-Coaferace of Licensod Victuallers. The licensed victuallers delegatesthree from Christchureh, four from Nelson, oue from West Coast, one from Thames (Auckland), four from Wellington, (Dunedin is unrepresented)—have been holding a conference for some days.
