A young man named David Grubb, Clerk in the Post Office, has been'corauiitted for trial for stealing letters from the Post Office. gaunders is to be tried at Timoru, and will be reminded there in due course. A public meeting is to be held toiscrrow night, at which the Liberal Association intend to submit resolutions' deprecating the bidding for power by open bribery, and protesting against the election of a member for Christchurch by a parliamentary committee.
