Saturday night. All the Ministers in the town have decided to discontinue the practice of Sunday funerals, except in cases of absolute necessity. At a meeting of the Town Council a motion—"That inasmuch as the Bank of the Corportiou had declined to float the water loan, all action on the part of the committee in regard to the Dunstall water scheme be postponed, and not be further proceeded with without the sanction of the ratepayers," but it was lost by 4 to 3:
