Last night. DeLias and tho Publicans. Some time ago certain publicans agreed to give Mr DeLias £1 per week each s« long as he kept tho Theatre open. The contributaries failing, DeLms sued on his agreement, gettiag judgment for the amount and costs. A defendant (Hill of the ■Victoria) appealed against the decision, but Mr Justice Gillies dismissed . the appeal with costs, on the grouncTthat where a Magistrate decided in equity and good conscience no appeal was possible. Another Brutal Husband. A Mr Crayford was arrested for a mar* derous attack on his wife and remanded. The doctors feared some broken ribs might pierce her lunga. . Peter McGrath was sentenced to two months' hard labour for shockingly ill. tising his son, aged 12. McGrath had just nerved three years for a murderous assault on his wife who, to escape his wengeance, has gone to Australia. The lad had given evidence for his mother.
