LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL.

Wellington, Last night.

The Council met at 7.30 to-night to pass the Imprest Supply Bill, but the Attorney-General stated, immediately on the Speaker taking the chair, that the measure had not passed the Lower House, and there was therefore no business for the Council to take. He moved the adjournment till Tuesday, which was agreed to. The Jffon. Mr Miller gave notice for a Select Committee to enquire into the Native Office and Land Purchase expenditure for the past year. The Council rose seven minutes after the meeting.
