The Troasuy at a low e"bb
WELLINGTON.
This day.
It is rumored the " Detective " Ministry will resign rather than meet the no* confidence motion.
Mr McCaughan has paired with Mr Hirst for the Opposition. Messrs Hirst, Driver, and Dick will vote with Macandrew after the Hall Government are defeated, but feel in honour bound to support Hall. r
An address from the Government requested £200,000, but it has not yet been presented to the House, and rumour states that when the Governor sent for Hall afterwards that he stated that Macandrew's motion must be met or their resignation sent in.
Only £40,000 is left in the Treasury, so things must soon adjust themselves. .
