Waters, on the charge of murder, concluded at the Supreme Court yesterday at 11 p.m. The jury retired, and after about half-an-hour's consultation, returned a verdict; of " Not guilty." Toe prisoner was also acquitted of the same charge on the Coroner's warrant, but in regard to other similar charge* arising out of same circumstances the Crown solicitor obtained leave to apply for authority to enter a nolle promjui instead of arraigning the prisoner upon several indictments. Accused was discharged from custody, and ike jury^ were also discharged. At the Supreme to-morrow a breach of promise ease, Mary Craddock David, of Dunedin, ▼. Jas.
