GREYTOWN.
Last night.
An extraordinary and brutal outrage was perpetrated on a Scandinavian by four men on the Tatarahi Plain on Saturday. He was lefc to bleed to death, but was found by Mr Pickeriug and taken to Masterton hospital, and is not yet out of danger. Several men have been arrested, but the victim was unable to identify them. It is supposed they got hold of the wrong man, as he has a wife and four children.
At the railway works, Woodside,. a child of Mr Gunthers, two or three years old, was scalded to death by falling into a bucket of hot water, which was standing beside the fire.
